Advanced Tactical Pistol Course:
Course Duration / Information:
This class is designed to build confidence and skills for a situation in which you must defend yourself or your loved ones.

Course Curriculum and Requirements:

Indoor Drills include: escaping from your home, clearing stairways, retrieving a loved one, retrieving a weapon from a stored location and much more! We will use L.A.S.R. (Laser Activated Shot Report) and SIRT training systems.
Range Drills include: Close Contact (how to strike, step back and respond to a threat), using our new AutoTarget System - responding to threats anywhere in your 360 degree defendable space, shooting while moving, kneeling, prone, supported, non-dominant hand shooting - shooting from cover and concealment - shooting around barricades - clearing malfunctions and more

Personal Protection in the Home:

Description: This is an eight-hour course. Students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills; strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation; firearms and the law; how to choose a handgun for self-defense; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and course completion certificate.
