Illinois Concealed Carry (CCL) Course with NRA Basic Pistol Course:
Course Duration / Information:
Illinois mandates a minimum of 16 hours of training. Some are eligible for recognizable training credit that applies up to 8 hours of credit toward the minimum time required.  FCCL Prior Training Credit Link to: IL FCCL Prior Training Credit

Course Curriculum and Requirements:

• Firearms - Course content is the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course (See below). 
  
• All applicable State and Federal laws relating to the ownership, storage, carry, and transportation of a firearm. 
  
• Instruction on the appropriate and lawful interaction with law enforcement while transporting or carrying a concealed firearm.  
  

Range Requirements:
30 rounds at a B-27 silhouette target with a score of 70% minimum (21 out of 30).

• 10 rounds from a distance of 5 yards
• 10 rounds from a distance of 7 yards
  
• 10 rounds from a distance of 10 yards​
